Star City is a census-designated place (CDP) in Van Buren Township, Pulaski County.
Pulaski County was formed in 1839. It was is named for Kazimierz Pulaski, an ally of the Americans during the Revolutionary War. He was killed in 1779 at the Siege of Savannah. An adjacent County, Jasper, was also named for a hero of Savannah.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Star City has a total area of 1.1 square miles, all of it land.
