Everyday, we will offer a new Golf Tip to help you stay on top of your game!
Our golf tips will include an ever-widening variety of concepts ranging from simple reminders to brand-new techniques to reduce your strokes.
Lately there seems to be a trend toward recommending technological advances for improving one's game, which is, don't misunderstand, great. New materials to make golf balls, club heads and shafts, et cetera are certainly helpful. However, a good player is a good player and a bad player is a bad player -- regardless of their tools of the trade.
Instead, we wish to focus attention on improving the human-mechanics behind playing better golf.

Today's Golf Tip -- Swinging Impact | Your golf swing is considered an effective one if upon impact your club is returned to the original angle of the address. In saying this, many people presume that both the address and impact positions are the same. Not so, the impact position, due to the body's rotary movement on the downswing, would naturally be different than that of the address position.
During the Address: Your shoulders, hips, knees and feet should be parallel to the imaginary line you draw from the ball to the pin. Your hands are positioned in the middle of your body.
Upon Impact: Your the hips would be about 45 degrees to the target line with your shoulders open to about half the amount of your hips. Your hands would be slightly ahead of the ball.
Practice finding this correct impact position and you'll see an overall improvement in your game.
