Lately there seems to be a trend toward recommending technological advances for improving one's game, which is, don't misunderstand, great. New materials to make golf balls, club heads and shafts, et cetera are certainly helpful. However, a good player is a good player and a bad player is a bad player -- regardless of their tools of the trade.
Instead, we wish to focus attention on improving the human-mechanics behind playing better golf.

| Today's Golf Tip -- Are You Ready For A Shoot Out? |  When you align for a shot, keep in mind that your club is the "gun", the clubface is the "gun barrel" and, of course, the ball is the "bullet". With this analogy, only the "gun barrel" -- clubface should be aimed at the target. Your body is set parallel to that imaginary line that you draw from the ball to your "target", the cup.
Many golfers correctly set their clubface to the target line and align their feet parallel to the target line, but ignore the rest of the body. This usually means that the shoulders are turned to the left in relation to one's feet, resulting in shots that are pulled left or sliced out to the right. Therefore, make sure that your shoulders, hips, knees and feet are all set parallel with each other and the target line.
In doing so, you are properly aligned and are "square" to the target. Shoot 'em up cowboy!
